The Story Ginko Systems LLC was Founded in 2001. Its history goes back to the mid 80’s building Kiosk for companies including IBM. From then until 2001 Ginko’s predecessors built kiosk from check cashing to informational, from educational, to directional, these companies enjoyed substantial success throughout their endeavors. The one thing that was consistent through those years was the management of the Kiosk group by Frank Dunkin. In 2001 a group was formed with the idea that the self-storage business could be remotely managed through self-service kiosk and a call center. Frank was tapped to handle the self-service part including design and build of the kiosk, support, maintenance, and one of the call centers. With that, Ginko Systems LLC was born. Literally staring in a garage, where the first Kiosk were designed and built. While the idea was not new, the kiosk were. There were a variety of new innovations not before available in the in this type of Kiosk. They included Biometrics, two-way video with voice, special attention to environmental issues and ADA concerns. While the units were welcomed by the industry, to still took time to develop critical mass. During that time, Ginko focused on the kiosk, but also sought other revenue streams. Thanks to their large customer base from previous endeavors, they were able augment their business during the early days. They became a UL 509 Self-Certified panel builder, and Frank became a certified nuclear electrician, building thousands of cables and termination cabinets while rewiring a nuclear facility in New York. Building panels for the kiosk and others, continued to grow, so did Ginko. Ginko’s growth can only be described as exponential. From the original hand full of people working in a small shop, growing to two bays, to their own 35,000 sq. ft. building to the acquisition of a second 50,000 Sq. Ft. building and the spin-off of a sister company Ginko   Metal   Works   LLC with over 100 people between them. What makes this story even more amazing is they have remained debt free. That makes Ginko a strong reliable company able to address their customer’s needs with confidence. Today, Ginko Systems LLC is made up of several business groups, and part of the Ginko Family of Businesses.
